Road & Rail
St. Helens is one of the most accessible boroughs in Merseyside. It enjoys a prime position at the heart of the North West's M6 and M62 motorway networks with the A580 East Lancashire Road running north of the town centre.

St Helens Central railway station (which is currently undergoing redevelopment at a cost of £6 million) provides direct lines to Liverpool and Wigan.  The Liverpool to Manchester line serves St Helens at Rainhill, St Helens Junction railway station and Lea Green.
